Essex Teen Center provides drop in hours and activities created for teens by teens.
All activities are supervised by staff and adult volunteers. We are a member of the Vermont Coalition of Teen Centers.
Youth advisory boards guide teen center initiatives.
Drop In Program The Drop In Program provides activities weekdays after school.
Youth enjoy the recreational and computer facilities in our six-room teen center located on the second floor of 2 Lincoln
Street in Essex Junction.
Basic
attendance is free. Occasionally offsite activities are organized for which a small fee may apply. Scholarships
are available for any youth who cannot afford a fee.
Students must register once per year with parent permission.

6:30-9:00 pm Middle School Youth Tuesdays, Wednesdays
& Thursdays, 2:30 - 5:30 pm
About additional High School Access - High School Youth who
volunteer to assist with middle school hours and Teen Center maintainence may access the Teen Center during middle school
hours. For information contact Pat 878-6981 or Ashley 878-6988. Please note
- High school and middle school youth who attend a school located in Westford, Essex or Essex Junction are eligible to attend,
regardless of their town of residence!
The Stomping Ground Coffeehouse High school youth plan adult-chaperoned, substance free social and arts events in the Teen Center mainspace.
The Stomping Ground will return in full swing in the fall. To sign up for the SG Committee, contact Ray at 878-6982.

Special Projects Through generous support of several funders, the Teen Center
undertakes special projects each year. In 2007-2008 special projects included a Poetry Open Mic in partnership with
Brownell Library, assistance to the EHS Bash For Cash fundraising event, the Christmas Tree Open House, MLK Day youth workshops, Unite
the Mic concert to promote diversity appreciation, the Memorial Day Parade healthy choices float, and SpringFest.
In the Spring of 2006, the Aztexts rocked the house!
Youth must complete a CHIPS registration form with a parent or guardian after their first visit to a Teen
Center program.
