There are many ways to Be Part of Something Real at Essex CHIPS & Teen Center!

Volunteer!

CHIPS needs youth and adult volunteers!
We can work with your schedule and need your talent and enthusiasm.

If you volunteer to meet a school or community service requirement, we are glad to document your work for your sponsor. For information about volunteer opportunities, call 878-6988 or write info@essexchips.org.

Program Assistants help with Teen Center Drop In Hours, special projects and maintenance. Flexible days and times available.

Special Events Volunteers plan and deliver educational, recreational and social projects! Please see our Signature Events page and contact us for information about getting involved.

Office Volunteers help with mailings, computer projects, signage and the thousand behind the scenes tasks that make CHIPS hum.

Stomping Ground Coffeehouse Chaperones are adults 21 or older who work with Stomping Ground Committee to assure attendee safety during our music and arts events many Friday and Saturday nights.

Fundraising Volunteers help us to invite individuals and businesses to support our general operations or a special project. Currently we are reaching out to sponsors for SpringFest 2008 and the 2008 Edition of "Bored Stiff", a compendium of healthy summer activities.

If you're new to fundraising, you can accompany others or help with data entry, thank you notes, and producing flyers!

Donate!

CHIPS is committed to making the highest use possible of our donors' generous contributions.

In past years, our work was funded by a large, multi-year federal grant. When that grant ended, we restructured our staff and operations. Through reorganization, we are continuing the critical work that has made a difference preventing substance abuse and promoting health for our youth and communities. Private donations are making the difference in our ability to pursue our mission.

Essex CHIPS, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation. Your donations are tax deductible.

We also welcome in-kind and planned gifts.

CHIPS also welcomes the chance to connect with other local organizations. Would you like to have a speaker from CHIPS present to your group?
