The years from ages 9-14 are an incredible opportunity for parents to build bonds with their children to prevent tobacco, alcohol and drug abuse.  Learn how to help your child and maintain your sanity in this 5-workshop series developed by Channing Bete and recognized as a national best practice resource by The U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services.  Parents who have taken Guiding Good Choices have significantly reduced the risk of their children using drugs, alcohol and tobacco.  Workshops will be facilitated by Essex Pediatrics’ nurse practitioner Jean Coffey and volunteer social worker Karin Hammer.

Cost for the series is $25, and includes the family workbook.  The $25 fee will be refunded to parents who complete the series to use for a family activity that engages children in good choices!  Full scholarships are available.
