Essex CHIPS seeks qualified candidates for one VISTA position (through Vermont Youth for Tomorrow) for next year.
CHIPS is seeking 4 AmeriCorps members for September 1st! One full-time, one 3/4 time, and two 1/2 time positions are available!
We are also seeking a full-time VISTA member to begin in August, to help with resource development efforts. Weekly living allowance, educational award, and an opportunity to have a positive impact on area youth!

18 + Volunteer Opportunities
Essex Safe Place relies on dedicated volunteers, 18 years of age or older, who want to support local youth. Young people from all walks of life have difficult times, so we need volunteers from all walks of life, too. The small commitment of your time can mean the world to the young people in our community.
As a Safe Place Volunteer, you have the opportunity to make a positive impact in your community and gain experience working with youth, and a local non-profit youth agency, with a flexible schedule that fits within your busy life. We provide you with training, supervision, occasional team meetings, and any additional support you may need.
There are a variety of ways to volunteer for Essex Safe Place including:
“Safe Place Responders”:
Description: Safe Place Responders pick youth up from Safe Place Sites and transport them to Essex CHIPS.
Requirements: must be 21+ years old; must have a vehicle
Description: Outreach volunteer assist the Safe Place Coordinator in maintaining Safe Place Sites, performing community presentations, and fundraising
“I&R Specialist Volunteers”:
Description: Information & Referral Volunteers connect youth and/or family callers to resources using a youth services database. They also assist in database maintenance and other clerical support.

Essex CHIPS is currently seeking college or graduate level interns in several areas including youth programming, grant writing, youth mental health support, and community development. There may be flexibility to tailor internship activities to meet educational requirements and hours. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
