About the Teen Center
The Essex Teen Center provides a safe space for 5th-12th grade students to engage with peers and positive adult role models. Trained CHIPS staff and volunteers are on-site to supervise, organize events and activities, and prepare healthy snacks.
There's lots of fun to be had in the Teen Center! Our space includes foosball, pool, air hockey, four square, indoor basketball game, table tennis, arts & crafts, keyboard & guitars, board games, puzzles, computers, age-appropriate video games, educational & STEM activities, a kitchen for baking or cooking, and healthy snacks.
The Essex Teen Center offers programming at no-cost to 5th-12th grade students who live or learn within the Essex Westford School District.

Fall 2026 Programming: Beginning September 8th!
Monday: Grades 9-12th, 3:15-6pm, drop in.
Tuesday: Grades 7-12th, 3:15-6pm, drop in.
Wednesday: Grades 5-6th, 1:45-5:15pm, by registration.
Thursday: Grades 7-12th, 3:15-6pm, drop in.
Friday: Reserved for Friday night events
Each week during programming, students have the opportunity to engage in activities with peers at the Teen Center. Students can choose from, pool, ping pong, foosball, board games, crafts, and video games to name a few. In addition, students will have the opportunity to engage in planned activities and clubs. Snacks and refreshments will be offered to students each day.
Current club offerings include the Youth Advisory Club, the Kitchen Creations Series, Outlet LGBTQIA+, and the Soccer Club.
We will also be offering additional clubs such as True Leaders in Equity, and Dungeons and Dragons in the coming months.
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays the Teen Center offers drop in hours to teens. Registered students may stop in at any time during program hours. Teens may choose to participate in planned activities/ clubs, or may choose to use the Teen Center as a hang out space with peers, choosing activities independently.
On Wednesdays, the Tween Center offers weekly programming to registered 5th and 6th grade students. Students may arrive anytime after 1:45pm.

1:45-3:15pm- Student arrival, snack, and free time
3:15-3:30pm- Circle up
3:30-5pm- Station activities
5-5:15pm- Clean up, free time, student pick up
